We were commissioned by Compass Advocacy Network to rebrand them to enable them to compete with larger national charities. Circle developed an identity that had an approachable persona using a hand drawn font and which gave users a feeling of belonging. We have given each sub brand prominence through larger type and colour coding. We have used various visual indicators to identify the divisions and help the user group with differentiation; these include clear colour coding and iconography. We introduced a strapline which links the individual companies under the umbrella brand design. The strap-line helps reinforce and inform the public that the organisation is a local community based social enterprise. In the marketing materials, we used imagery of the users aligned with a pulled quote to build brand empathy. We have introduced a tone of voice with a play on the local dialect.
“Working with Circle was a pleasure from the outset. The team made a point of visiting our organisation, meeting our service users and ensuring they understood the essence of the organisation before considering putting ‘pen to paper’. Consequently, their understanding of our ethos was reflected clearly in the artwork and concepts produced. Our rebrand has made a significant difference to stakeholders perceptions and truly reflects the essence of our work. Darren and his team were professional, responsive and supportive and turned what could have been a challenging process, into an enjoyable and rewarding journey.” Janet Schofield, Director
