Limavady Outdoor Recreation Signage

Circle was contracted to research content, design, build and install nine interpretive signs for the Limavady Borough (Cashel x 2, Feeny, Magilligan, Carrickhue, Largantea, Swanns Bridge x 2). Circle commissioned a copywriter for provision of professional copy. In addition, Circle was able to specify signage materials suitable to the budget and client’s specifications. Our project manager and senior designer completed a site survey on the individual locations and took digital shots. From this we advised on the best location for the signage. On our second visit to all the locations the tourism manager and countryside officer accompanied the project manager, designer and copywriter to discuss the brief in great detail. From this, we provided an exact timeline for each individual element of the contract to ensure that we reached the client’s deadlines. Initial drafts of copy were sent to the client and amended until final approval. Julie-Anne was responsible for project managing all suppliers and ensuring the project ran smoothly on time and on budget. Although the budget was more restrictive for this contract, we specified high quality materials for visual continuity across all sites and the design was to adhere to Limavady Borough Council corporate style. To differentiate between a woodland and seaside setting, we proposed two different finishes:- • Dark (Antique Oak) stain to the woodland areas • Light Stain (Driftwood) areas to the seaside areas such as Magilligan
