The Context

In 2021 Circle was commissioned to work with Fermanagh Omagh District Council and stakeholders across the business, commercial skills and innovation sectors within the region in order to develop 2No. memorable place brands for the towns of Enniskillen and Omagh. The aim of the campaign was to encourage local spending in order to support local businesses.

The Challenge

The brief from Fermanagh Omagh District Council required Circle to create impactful Place Brands for Enniskillen and Omagh. In addition we were tasked with implementing a targeted social media campaign to launch the Place Brands, plus the design and creation of all necessary marketing and promotional materials. A key element of the brief involved significant stakeholder engagement across the business community. All to be delivered on time and within budget.

Our Approach

In order to secure a full swathe of buy-in, we undertook broad stakeholder engagement within the business communities of both towns, utilising a range of media platforms to create awareness of the consultations and encourage participation in the brand and consultation process.

Our Outputs

Circle successfully fulfilled all the requirements of the brief and we provided the client with a full suite of all assets which included:

  • Creation of two individual place brands for Enniskillen and Omagh towns
  • design, sourcing and provision of a wide range of marketing and promotional items to support the place brand launches
  • rollout of social campaigns across both towns aligned to the ‘Shop Local’ campaign
  • careful brand management to ensure that the place brands were well positioned across both social campaigns
  • successfully encouraged local spending through delivery of digital animations campaigns
